NEW TRAILER FOR INTO THE DALEK!

With the excitement for Deep Breath reaching an all-time high, it's no surprise that fans are already thinking ahead and wondering what's next to challenge the good Doctor. Luckily, the show has kept its tradition of including a brief anticipatory trailer of next week's episode, entitled 'Into the Dalek' which you can watch in all its glory below.

THE FIVE(ISH) DOCTORS REBOOT COMING TO DVD!

Colin Baker has announced that The Five(ish) Doctor's Reboot will receive an official release on DVD.

The 50th anniversary 'alternative' special follows the humorous tale of 'classic' Doctor's Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Peter Davison (who also wrote and directed the special) as they attempt to find a place in the official 50th Anniversary adventure, The Day of the Doctor.

A welcome treat to the fans, this special provided a much more comically-driven look at Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary. 

No official release date has yet been announced.

Now that we find ourselves closer to the 50th anniversary spectacular coming later this year, it comes as no surprise that any news Who-related is met with more excitement than ever. If you ever thought that the BBC were being too secretive in their talk of the programme, fear not, for they have answered. Certainly has the 'block-buster movie' feel about it.

Most notable element to this poster, is the announcement of the episode's title, 'Day of the Doctor'. However, attention should also be brought to the portion taken up by John Hurt's character - surrounded by an explosions of Daleks and repeated prints of the words 'Bad Wolf' - certainly makes you wonder what kind of connection the episode will have with the show's previous storylines. Now that we've caught the first visual tease of the episode, it's seems a safe thing to say that Matt Smith is certainly going to have a memorable exit episode. A GALLIFREYAN STAY IN READING!

A 10ft replica TARDIS stands guard outside Tom's property, while inside a life-size replica of a Dalek welcomes you to a room choc-full of Who memorabilia including posters, costumes, toys and games. Unfortunately, no actual time travel is available to residents.

While it may seem a bit bonkers, it is all in aid of a good cause. Who-fan Tom is a Scout leader and is giving any money made from renting the room to the Scouting Association. There's a good lad!

He has said.....

He has said that the Cybermen soon to be seen in the upcoming episode 'Nightmare In Silver' will NOT be the Cybus/ alternative universe ones, but the 'original' Cybermen from Mondas. He also said that they 'Don't speak very much', and that he's recorded a whole range of different sounding voices, from the 'Tenth Planet' style, to a 'Vocoder' style... But he doesn't know which ones will ultimately be used in the episode!

PETER JACKSON FOR ... A DALEK

Yep. Peter Jackson has spoken once again of his desire to direct an episode of Doctor Who, naming his fee to be a Dalek.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jackson announced that he met up with the Moff over Christmas and reiterated his no fee claim.

"They don't even have to pay me," he said.

"But I have got my eye on one of those nice new gold-coloured Daleks. They must have a spare one."

Moffat was also asked to comment on Jackson directing an episode.

"We're theoretically on board for anything," he said, "provided we've got a great story."

LOST DOCTOR WHO SCRIPTS FOUND IN KENT

Six Doctor Who scripts belonging to the creator of the TARDIS and writer, Anthony Coburn, have been discovered by prop-maker, Jason Onion. Mr. Coburn came up with the idea for the TARDIS after seeing a police box outside BBC Television Centre. He sadly passed away in 1977.

The TARDIS

Onion, a BBC licensed TARDIS maker, was researching the iconic blue police box for Children In Need and was handed a box of paperwork found by Mr. Coburn's widow, Joan Coburn-Moon.

Initially, Onion wasn't aware of what he had discovered:

"With the consent of Anthony's wife, Joan Coburn-Moon, and other family members, the family lent me a box of his work and I saw the scripts, but put them to one side.

"When I scanned the cover later I realised it didn't have the right title for the first episode... as soon as I saw the first few pages I knew it was not the episode that had been televised.

"I just sat there, and stared and stared. I wanted to cover them with glass. They are unbelievably precious, and I had them in my hand."

The six scripts consist of two versions of the first episode, an alternative episode two and three further stories.

One script entitled 'Masters of Luxor' was never made, replaced instead by the original Dalek serial. Reading through the scripts, Onion was able to solve some of the mysteries of Doctor Who that have plagued Whovians for years,

"You can see in these episodes a device to unlock the TARDIS, which became the sonic screwdriver, and the science and regeneration and renewal of the body, which were all created in Anthony's mind.

"It explains the TARDIS's original name, the planet Doctor Who came from and that his granddaughter - Susan in the programmes, but Suzanne in the scripts - was a princess saved from another world.

"He created the cornerstones of Doctor Who that have been expanded and built on ever since."

Discussions are currently underway for a permanent exhibition to commemorate Mr. Coburn. Jason Onion's workshop where he builds TARDIS replicas is reportedly being considered.
